Legal Information

Please review our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service to understand how we protect your data and the rules governing the use of the Image to PDF application.

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 5, 2026

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the "Image to PDF" application ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

The App requires certain permissions and collects specific data to provide its features:

  • Device Storage & Media: We request access to your device's storage (or Media Store) to allow you to select images, edit them, and save the generated PDF files locally on your device.
  • Camera: We request camera access to allow you to scan documents, ID cards, and capture images directly within the App.
  • Usage Data & Crash Reports: We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous, aggregated data on how you interact with the App and to log crash reports. This helps us improve app performance and stability.

2. How We Process Your Data

  • Local Processing: The majority of the App’s features—including Image to PDF conversion, PDF editing, watermarking, password protection, and Latin-script OCR (Optical Character Recognition)—are performed locally on your device. Your documents and images are not uploaded to our servers.
  • On-Demand Machine Learning Models: For non-Latin OCR features, the App utilizes Google Play Services to download machine learning models on-demand directly from Google.
  • Google Drive Cloud Sync: If you choose to enable the "Cloud Sync" feature, the App uses Google Sign-In to authenticate and back up your PDFs, signatures, and OCR history to a secure, hidden folder (appDataFolder) in your personal Google Drive. We do not have access to your other Google Drive files, and we do not store this data on our own servers.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share anonymous, non-identifiable data with third-party service providers (such as Google Firebase) strictly for analytics, crash reporting, and cloud messaging (Push Notifications).

4. Security

Your data's security is a priority. Documents you protect with a password using the App's "Protect PDF" feature are encrypted using standard PDF encryption protocols. Please note that if you forget a PDF password, the App cannot recover it for you as encryption happens locally.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
